Renew your Indian passport abroad

Apply for a new Indian passport through Passport Seva at the Indian mission in your country.

Keep these ready

• Current passport
• Visa or residence permit
• Proof of address abroad
• Passport photos as the mission specifies

Steps

1. Register on Passport Seva for Indian missions abroad and fill in the re-issue form online.
2. Print or save the form, and check the mission's website for the document list and fee.
3. Book an appointment at the mission or its passport service centre.
4. Go in person with your old passport, photos and documents, and pay the fee.
5. Track the application online. Your old passport is cancelled and returned with the new one.
