Get an encumbrance certificate in Karnataka (Kaveri 2.0)

An encumbrance certificate (EC) shows the registered sales, mortgages and other deals on a property. Banks and buyers ask for it.

For: Karnataka

Keep these ready

Steps

  1. Create a citizen login on Kaveri Online Services.
  2. Describe the property exactly: village, survey number and hissa for land, or an earlier document number.
  3. Choose the period. For a purchase, check 30 years.
  4. Pay the fee and download the EC. Very old entries may need a search at the sub-registrar office.
